Never a dull time
Know it’s hard in your mind
But that thing must’ve come
Shaped straight from star dust
Nothing like you down here
In the best way
Cuz I see the walls and fear
But also the strength
to test it
Like it’s native to your brain waves
Pulling mental phenomena from thin air
It’s beyond thoughtful or intuitive
It’s like certain dark parts start to show themselves
And just when you begin to sink
I see you pull yourself like a rocket from beneath
Not just through the water
Though I’m sure you feel like you’re barely treading
But the whole way to the sky
Like you don’t even know that you never learned
how to fly
I know I can’t see behind the scenes
But it’s the wheels turning
Like you’re going in a certain
Direction only to suddenly parachute
Into the most incredible display
Of untrained self awareness
Or maturity
Sometimes just a surprise acuity for what anyone else needs
Or a vulnerability that I know feels terrifying
But everything about all you give and all you hold within
What you’re capable of and the things you have to contend with
Every day it sounds cliche but you never cease to amaze
Matching and bringing energy
But you don’t have what you deserve the most
The ability yet to see all of that in yourself, on your own.
